The ecumenical truth about
Sheldon Thomas

Sheldon April 15:     Sheldon Easton Scott Thomas is born in the humble Bermuda parish of Paget where he remains until 1970 when, in a mischievous mood, a local priest convinces the Thomases it's God's will that they should forever forgo Bermuda's subtropical climes for the more wholesomely rugged Canadian winter.

Dec. 1977:     Sheldon's prayers are finally answered on Christmas morning when, to his mother's pots and pans' great relief, his father presents him with his very first drum kit. For the next several years Sheldon seeks to better himself by studying the Good Book of Rudiments and making frequent pilgrimages to a nearby private drumming school.

1984 to 2001:     Seeing that the world is filled with bands afflicted with questionable drumming, Sheldon makes it his mission in life to provide as many of them as he can with a steady beat. Steel Lily, Michael Hanson (Glass Tiger) and Mark Patterson's project Caine ( of 'Open mike with Mike Bullard' fame) are but a few in a long list of bands who have benefited from Sheldon's selflessness.

Spring 1998:     While performing with Kenny MacLean (Platinum Blonde) before a congregation he hopes to save from the evils of bad Tequila, Sheldon makes the acquaintance of a shady character going by the name of Denis Martel whose band 'The High Rollers' he joins shortly after out of compassion.

Winter 2000:     In a gesture that can only lead to him being sainted one day, Sheldon accepts Denis Martel's invitation to perform on his upcoming debut album 'Safe as milk' and maintains he enjoyed it.

Nov 2001:     After hearing that heavy metal musicians' church attendance was at an all time low, Sheldon joins ex-Slik Toxik lead singer Nick Wash's new band Revolver in a futile attempt to rectify the situation.

Summer 2003:     Seemingly armed with the patience of a Buddhist monk on steroids, Sheldon still maintains that, given a little bit more time, his ecumenical experiment with Revolver will succeed.

October 2004:     Just as he knew they would, Sheldon's prayers are finally answered when Revolver's first video gets picked up by Much Loud

March 2005:     Sheldon's prayers for rock stardom get one step closer to being answered when his original band Revolver announces they will be embarking on their first cross Canada tour starting in mid April.
